At the Uffizi, the price is not just one. The same entry costs €25 if you buy it on the day of the visit and €29 if you buy it earlier; after 16:00 it drops to €16. Then there are the €2 reduced ticket, free entries, the first Sunday of the month and the PassePartout for multiple museums.
We list the rules as published by the Uffizi Galleries in October 2026. Prices can change: the source to check is always the official prices page. At the bottom you will also find the GetYourGuide tours that include the ticket, each described with the items from its listing.
The answer in brief
The full-price ticket costs €25 if bought on the day and €29 if bought in advance. With the «Afternoon» promo, entering from 16:00, you pay €16 (€20 if bought earlier). EU citizens aged 18 to 25 pay €2; minors under 18 enter free with ID.
How much does the Uffizi ticket cost in 2026?
€25 if bought on the day of the visit, €29 if bought on a previous day.
The ticket is single and named, and according to the museum «allows one entry only and is not reusable». If you leave, you cannot re-enter with the same ticket. Keep it until the end: staff may ask to see it at any point on the route.
Groups of at least 11 people, guide included, pay an additional total surcharge of €70. The figures in the table are those published in October 2026.
| Rate | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Full-price, bought on the day | €25 | Named ticket, single entry |
| Full-price, bought in advance | €29 | Bought before the day of the visit |

Why do the Uffizi cost so much, and how can you spend less?
The museum does not explain its rates, but offers several ways to pay less: the afternoon, the reduced ticket, free entries and the PassePartout.
- The «Afternoon» promotion, valid from 1 January 2026 to 30 December 2030: €16 entering from 16:00, €20 if you buy in advance. Details are in the museum notice.
- The €2 reduced ticket for EU citizens from their 18th birthday up to and including the day of their 25th birthday.
- Free entry for under 18s and on the first Sunday of the month, when everyone enters without paying.
- The PassePartout 5 Days from €40, if you want to see Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli Garden too.
Buying on the day saves €4 on the full-price ticket. In return, you do not choose the time in advance.

Who is entitled to the reduced or free ticket at the Uffizi?
EU citizens aged 18 to 25 pay €2; minors under 18 and several other categories enter free, always with ID.
The reduced ticket also applies to citizens of countries with a reciprocity agreement: Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Uruguay. Among the free entries are people with disabilities with a family member or companion, schools with teachers, tour guides and interpreters, journalists registered with the Italian professional association, Ministry of Culture staff and ICOM members. European visitors with the Disability Card enter free and with priority.
The full list is on the concessions page. Remember that under 12s must enter with an adult.
Day ticket, multilingual audio guide app and digital map of the Gallery, with free cancellation up to 24 hours before.
Check dates for the ticket with audio guideDo you need a passport or ID to enter the Uffizi?
Bring a valid ID: the ticket is named, and for reduced and free entries the museum asks to show it.
The name on the ticket must match the person entering. The tour listings repeat this: they ask for the participants' full names as they appear on their ID and warn that the museum may refuse entry if the details do not match. Some, like the private tour, also want the date of birth.
Even the museum's audio guide is rented by presenting an ID. A passport is not required: any valid ID will do.
Where can you buy Uffizi tickets?
Online at tickets.uffizi.it, at the call centre or at the ticket office under the loggia of Piazzale degli Uffizi.
The official platform is tickets.uffizi.it. The call centre is open Monday to Sunday, from 8:00 to 19:00, at the freephone number 800 615 615; from abroad and mobile phones, call +39 055 0354135.
The museum recommends buying in advance «especially during periods of high attendance», «to avoid long queues at the entrance and reduce waiting times». These are its own words: it does not publish precise waiting times, and neither do we.

Are the Uffizi free on the first Sunday of the month?
Yes: with «Domenica al Museo», entry is free on the first Sunday of every month, but it cannot be booked.
The free ticket is collected at the entrance. Priority access remains only for people with disabilities and pregnant women; even the PassePartout priority does not apply that day. Two tour listings, Uffizi and Accademia in a group included, warn that on the first Sunday entry is not guaranteed. Everything else is in the article on the free Sunday.
What is the PassePartout 5 Days?
A €40 ticket valid for 5 consecutive days for the Uffizi, Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli Gardens, with one entry per museum.
Only the Uffizi entry is booked, which must be the first museum, presenting yourself 15 minutes before the time. Pitti and Boboli can be visited afterwards, without a time slot. If the 5 days include a Monday, 25 December or 1 January, validity extends to the sixth day. With the Vasari Corridor the same pass costs €58, and the Corridor must be done on the Uffizi day. Details on the PassePartout page.
For comparison: the Palazzo Pitti ticket costs €16 or €19, Boboli €10 or €13, Pitti and Boboli together €22 or €25. There is also an annual pass for €80, €120 in the Family version.
